Rising country songwriter, singer and guitarist, Samuel Adam Cressman (, was in an accident Memorial Day weekend and sustained injuries to both wrists and his upper and lower jaw.

People close to him say they are worried that this could be a career ending injury and that he may never be able to sing the same way again.

Sam Cressman fell face first from a height of about twenty five feet on Saturday, impacting the ground only inches from a concrete side walk.

He suffered fractures to his lower jaw, and multiple fractures to his upper jaw.

In addition, the impact knocked loose multiple front teeth in both his upper and lower jaws.

He also suffered fractures in both wrists.

Sam was rushed to Middle Tennessee Medical Center where we was operated on for nearly eight hours to repair the lower jaw and wrists, however the doctors were unable to help the upper jaw which will require special surgery.

On Thursday, he will undergo the first of what is sure to be multiple reconstructive surgeries on his upper jaw at Vanderbilt Hospital.

As of now, they are unsure of whether they will be able to replace his missing teeth.

“When I saw him fall,” says his fiancé, Katie Cantrell, “I thought he was dead.  It’s a miracle he didn’t die.

A few more inches to the left and he would have broken his neck.

Even so, we don’t know how well he’ll be able to sing or play the guitar after this.”

Sam Cressman has opened for big name Country Stars like Jo Dee Messina and Lori Morgan and recently returned from performing on Holland Cruise Lines.

He comes from a large family of performers, including his mother, who sang under the name Dee Dee Lee, his brother Carl Cressman who opened for the Nashville Star Tour and his brother John Cressman, who performs as a comedy hypnotist across the country.
