DeKalb School of the Arts Stages 24 Theatrical Productions in 1 Weekend

The DeKalb School of the Arts event “Dark Night” is a series of short plays written by the DSA (DeKalb School of the Arts) Creative Writing majors – all performed on the weekend called “Dark Night” – 24 plays in all, each play no more than 5 to eight minutes in length.
The Dark Night productions are staggered into two sets of 12 plays each night, with the “A” set being performed on Thursday night and Saturday night, and the “B” set being performed on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

Dekalb School of the Arts (DSA) is a Dekalb County Magnet school which requires both academic excellence and an auditioning process in order to be admitted to the school.
One of the things that make DSA productions exceptional is that all of the Arts departments in the school – Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, Technical Theatre, Orchestra, etc. all come together and contribute to these productions, and the students run the shows.
The DSA Drama Ensemble will be directing all of the Dark Night shows, which will be held on the DSA main stage.
