Group Mobile, well known for carrying the top brands in rugged laptops, rugged tablet PCs, rugged PDAs, and rugged handheld computers has added the newest business rugged Panasonic Toughbook to its product offerings — the Toughbook S9.

Weighing only 3 pounds, the Panasonic Toughbook S9 ruggedized notebook (also known as the CF-S9) is the perfect mobile computing solution for business travelers and other mobile professionals. With the Toughbook S9’s Magnesium Alloy case, shock mounted hard drive, spill-resistant keyboard and touchpad, and ability to handle up to a 30″ drop, this rugged notebook is truly built to survive the bangs and bumps of a hectic day.

“The S9 is one of the lightest machines in the World at only 3 pounds, despite having a 12.1 inch widescreen and an integrated DVD optical drive,” said Kyp Walls, Pansonic’s Director of Product Management. “The Toughbook S9 gets a remarkable 11 hours of battery life, making it ideal for traveling executives or other people who need to work on the road and are weight sensitive, but need a long battery life,” added Walls.

The Toughbook S9 pairs the Intel Core i5-520M 2.40GHz featuring vPro technology with the Windows 7 operating system for an incredible mobile computing experience. It features a 12.1″ WXGA sunlight-readable, widescreen display for easy viewing in any lighting condition.

The S9 is also well equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, and optional Gobi 3G (WWAN) that connects just about anywhere your cell phone can. Add to that 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 250GB shock-mounted hard drive, and 11 hours of battery life, and you get a ruggedized notebook that lets you accomplish more than you ever expected while on the go.

Security features on the Toughbook S9 include Panasonic’s trusted platform module security chip (version 1.2), Intel Anti-Theft technology, a cable lock slot, password security, and an optional fingerprint reader. Built-in convenience features on this ruggedized laptop include two USB ports, an HDMI port, a high-capacity SD card slot, a PC card slot, a VGA port, and a dedicated switch to disable all wireless options.

“The Toughbook S9 ruggedized notebook is a terrific addition to Panasonic’s line of business computers,” said Richard Lawson, President of Group Mobile. “With its light weight and impressive mobile features, the S9 is sure to be a hit with Group Mobile’s customers.”
