Paradise Palms Goes Green & Gold for Australia Day
Cairns, QLD, Australia – (News4us.com) January 13, 2012
Paradise Palms will celebrate its true blue Aussie spirit on Thursday 26 January with an Australia Day party to remember.
According to Paradise Palms’ sales and marketing manager, Alex Blake, the team has come up with a patriotic, fun filled day of events and activities that pay homage to Australia’s national heritage.
“The fun starts from 11am with delicious Australian dishes in Fifty Nine Restaurant followed by some traditional Aussie games including a thong throwing and pie eating competition from 1.30pm.
Add to that, lamingtons, icy cold beers and Aussie music from DJ Danny Donnelly.
Paradise Palms chef, Jarrad, will bake a giant pie – 20cm by 40cm that two Aussie youngsters will tuck into as a warm-up welcome to fellow Aussies this Australia Day.
“Australia Day is all about families getting together and celebrating our wonderful lifestyle so we have made sure there is something for everyone to enjoy,” he said.
