Leading global Rental Solutions & Services (RSS), a global provider of rental power, temporary cooling and mobile water solutions, has successfully installed 19,000TR (66,820kW) of rental cooling in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The United Arab Emirates capital city, Abu Dhabi has significantly increased its demand for temperature control rental equipment as its economy recovered from the economic slowdown and strategically diversifies its economy to non-petroleum related projects.
Temperature during summer months in the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) can reach up to 50 degrees.
The need for temporary chiller installations and other air-cooled hire packages is imperative to augment the heating temperature in various businesses and heavy industries.
United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Northern Emirates) Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Al Khobar, Riyadh), Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait has the most rental cooling demand within Middle East and North Africa every summer due to high ambient temperature.
Between the months of May and September the demand for rental chillers, air handling units, DX units, and other cooling application equipment is on the rise.
Milan Balac, Managing Director of Rental Solutions & Services says “reliability, cost efficiency and innovative rental cooling solutions are the attributes that our clients expect from RSS.
Since RSS started its operations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, we have achieved rental breakthrough records for installing the biggest temporary cooling package in the world, the largest rental chiller installation into a single header connection point, the largest chiller hire contract and largest rental cooling supplier for the transportation sector.
With these milestones and breakthrough achievements RSS has won several accolades and awards which has solidified our brand name as the global leader in rental cooling solutions. We are a great believer of exceeding the expectations of our clients… under promise, over deliver.
RSS has provided pioneering cooling solutions and innovative installations not only in Abu Dhabi, but the entire Middle East. We are thankful for the trust and confidence of our clients most of which are associated with iconic and landmark projects.”
Lee Cox, general manager of RSS Southern Gulf mentions that “RSS is currently cooling several industrial, commercial, government institutions and residential towers in the capital.
RSS is supplying temporary chiller installations and temperature control applications equipment to 2 hospitals, the largest mall in Abu Dhabi, the largest sports city in the capital, maritime vessels, aviation hangers, over 20 high rise towers which consist of government, residential, commercial and hotels.
Furthermore, RSS is supplementing the cooling supply of the 3 largest district cooling companies in Abu Dhabi during construction and commissioning stage of their DC plants.
RSS has been helping the district cooling companies to bridge the gap between supply and demand. Our temporary chiller hire packages are either connected to the district cooling plants, to the DC pipe network or directly to the buildings.”
Robert Bagatsing, Group Marketing Manager of RSS says “UAE’s capital has an estimated rental cooling demand of 40,000 ton refrigeration (140,674 kW), which RSS has a market share of 50%, making us the market leader in temperature control equipment hires.
Abu Dhabi is definitely out from the economic slowdown and the city is thriving to succeed its 2030 vision plan. 2011 will become a remarkable year for RSS and the whole rental equipment industry.
Abu Dhabi’s oil and gas, petrochemical and refineries are still the prime mover of its GDP. However, the non-petroleum related businesses such as construction, heavy industries, hospitality, healthcare, maritime and logistics has been very active since the first quarter of 2011, thus demand for cooling, especially during summer months has tremendously been overwhelming for all rental companies like RSS.”
Rental cooling for industrial applications includes mining, oil & gas, refineries, petrochemicals, power plants, maritime, aviation, manufacturing, warehousing and construction. Utility companies such as district cooling or electricity authorities can also rent power solution packages and mobile water desalination for their DC plants and power sub-stations.
