Sony Takes 3D Technology To The Limits

The Sony Corporation seems to have embraced the newly released home 3D technology with unbridled vigor and tailored personal electronic products to take advantage of this new fast growing Hi-tech sector.

In 2011 one of the first ever 3D PC laptops will hit the market. This newly developed 3D laptop has been manufactured by Sony Corporation and sales for the new technology are expected to push all time records.

The Vaio 3D laptop is able to display 3D video and the soon to be released 3D games at a resolution of up to 1080p.

Sony prototypes of the groundbreaking technology were on display recently at the IFA electronics show. The IFA is one of the largest Consumer Electronics trade fair shows in the world.

The laptops are switched over to 3D by simply pressing a button on the unit and donning the active-shutter 3D glasses.

Howard Stringer, Sony’s chief executive stated in a press conference that the 3D Vaio will make its debut next spring. Sony Corporation has been powering ahead within the field of 3D technology and is committed to producing related products and content.

Sony went on to announce that it would also be retrofitting the Playstation 3 and some of its existing Blu-ray players with new firmware upgrades to make them 3D capable.

Some of the 3D game titles available from Sony include:  Killzone 3, Virtual Tennis 4, MLB Baseball, Tumble, Motor Storm Apocalypse, Sly Trilogy, Mortal Kombat, Super Stardust HD, The Fight and more.
