Spain Heads Through to World Cup Finals

Spanish in World Cup finals

Spain beats Germany in World Cup Soccer

Many people had their money on Spain to emerge victorious from this year’s World Cup and now they have taken another step closer to accomplishing this by beating the mighty Germans 1-0.

Even the German coach Joachim Loew was quoted as saying “they are the best team” after the German Juggernauts shocking loss.

The Spanish team is famed for its offensive plays over the last 4 years by some of the world’s best known players. David Villa, Andres Iniesta who were all expected to score by the screaming fans, Pedro even got off a couple of thunderous shots.

But in the end it was the Spaniards defender Puyol who scored the defining goal with a header from a corner kick that opened the way for Spain to enter the World Cup finals in glorious fashion.

Spain must now beat the Netherlands on Sunday to become the reigning world champions. For a team that has only lost 2 games since 2006 this might not be that hard a feat to accomplish. This team from Spain is so top heavy in skills and confidence that many millions of fans around the world say they are too good to lose.

Even with the injuries to Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas, which many thought would affect their striking power, the Spanish have managed to power on from strength to strength and prove them all wrong.

While the final score may have not been anything to brag about, it still was the exciting culmination of a fast paced match that was Spanish dominated from the beginning right through to the final frantic moments.

Will Spain take out the World Cup of 2010?

Many say yes and with the most brazen of Spanish style. Ole!
